AirtelTigo is the result of the merger of Airtel Ghana and Tigo Ghana in 2017. The company was acquired in April 2021 by the Ghanaian government for $1, but had retained its brand name.
Ghanaian telecommunications company AirtelTigo has announced that it will henceforth operate under the name “AT”. This change will apply to all of the telecom operator’s sub-brands: AT Money, AT Business, AT Premier and AT Insurance. It will also apply to all future communications, marketing materials and branding efforts.
