KEMMCOM is seeking an experienced and talented Website Developer with expertise in designing and developing e-learning websites. The Website Developer will be crucial in creating engaging and user-friendly online learning platforms that empower learners to acquire knowledge and skills in a digital environment.
• Design, develop, and maintain e-learning websites, ensuring they are visually appealing, intuitive, and optimised for a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, to understand project requirements and translate them into functional website features.
• Implement responsive web design principles to ensure optimal viewing across various devices and screen sizes.
• Customise learning management systems (LMS) and integrate them with e-learning websites for efficient content management and user tracking.
• Develop interactive elements, such as quizzes, assessments, certificates and multimedia content, to enhance learner engagement and interactivity.
• Ensure website security and data protection measures are in place, including secure user authentication and encryption of sensitive information.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve any issues or bugs, ensuring the website functions flawlessly.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in e-learning website development, incorporating them into project strategies and implementations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Website Developer with a focus on e-learning websites.
• Strong proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) and learning management systems (LMS), such as WordPress.
• Proficiency in responsive web design and mobile-friendly development practices.
• Knowledge of database management systems, including MySQL or MongoDB is a plus.
• Solid understanding of user experience (UX) principles and the ability to translate them into effective website designs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A portfolio of previous e-learning website development projects is highly desirable.
